Black Friday International Shipping: How to Get US Deals Delivered Abroad in 2026

Black Friday 2026 is November 27 and Cyber Monday is November 30. Here's how to get US sale prices shipped internationally: what stops overseas buyers, what import tax looks like by country, and when to order.

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30. If you live outside the US, the deals are just as easy to see, but harder to actually get: lots of US stores won't ship abroad or won't take a foreign card. The fix is to route the order through a US address and have it shipped internationally from there.

When is Black Friday, and when do the sales really start?

Black Friday is always the day after US Thanksgiving, which is the fourth Thursday of November. This year that makes it November 27, with Cyber Monday three days later on November 30.

The date on the calendar isn't when the prices drop, though. Plenty of big US retailers start "early Black Friday" pricing during Thanksgiving week or even earlier in November, and a few keep deals running into the first days of December. The sharpest doorbusters tend to land on the day itself and sell through fast. If there's one specific product you're after, sort out how you'll buy it before the sale opens, not once it's live.

Why overseas shoppers get stuck at checkout

Three things trip up international buyers far more often than anything else:

  1. The store only ships to US addresses. The checkout simply won't take a foreign one. We keep a list of US shopping sites that don't ship internationally, and it's longer than most people guess.
  2. The card gets declined. US fraud filters look hard at a non-US card paired with a big basket on a busy sale day. If you've run into this before, why Australian cards get declined on US checkout explains the mechanics, and they apply well beyond Australia.
  3. The store ships abroad, but at a price that wipes out the discount. Some international checkouts add a hefty shipping line or an import-charge estimate. That's worth comparing before you write off a deal.

How Personal Shopping works on a sale day

With Personal Shopping, you send us the product link, we quote you the full cost up front, and once you've paid we buy it on a US card and have it sent to our Austin hub. There we check that what arrived matches what you ordered, repack it, and ship it to you on discounted FedEx Express.

For Black Friday, the useful part is speed. Send the link a few days before the sale and we can have the quote ready, so buying is all that's left once the price drops. Until we've actually bought the item, your card is only on hold, not charged.

Package Forwarding — where you buy it yourself and ship it to your Shipbird address — is coming soon but not open yet, so Personal Shopping is the way to buy this year's sale through us.

The Personal Shopping fee is one flat charge per order, set by the order total before US sales tax and shipping, never per item: $15 up to $99.99, $25 from $100 to $250, $40 from $250.01 to $1,000, and $50 flat over $1,000. A $180 pair of headphones lands in the $100 to $250 tier, so the fee is a flat $25. Add a $70 jacket to the same order and the total is exactly $250 — still $25, because each band's top figure belongs to that band. US sales tax is charged on top, as it would be for anyone buying at that store.

Import tax: what changes by country

A sale price lowers what you pay at the border, because customs looks at what you actually paid. What it doesn't change is the threshold. One discounted item often stays well under the line; a box of five deals from three stores often doesn't. Here's how the countries we ship to most often handle it:

DestinationThe number to know
AustraliaGoods worth A$1,000 or less generally pay no duty or GST at the border. That doesn't mean no GST: larger overseas sellers, marketplaces and redeliverers collect 10% GST at checkout instead.
SingaporeAir shipments with a CIF value of S$400 or less get GST relief at the border; above that, 9% GST applies.
UAEDubai Customs exempts courier shipments up to about AED 1,000 from duty, but 5% VAT is charged even below that.
Saudi ArabiaCustoms duty is waived when goods, shipping and insurance total under SAR 1,000, but 15% VAT applies to every personal import.
PhilippinesShipments with an FOB value of PHP 10,000 or less pay no duty or VAT. Same-day shipments to one address are added together.
IndiaThere's no duty-free threshold for purchased goods sent by courier. Expect roughly 30% of the CIF value.
BrazilA FedEx shipment from a US forwarder pays a flat 60% federal import tax on goods plus freight plus insurance, then state ICMS on top. The US$50 exemption doesn't apply.

Two rules hold everywhere. Declare what you paid, and never label a purchase as a gift to get under a threshold — it's a false declaration, and it's the quickest way to get a parcel held during the busiest weeks of the year. Each country's sale-week guide goes deeper: Australia, Singapore, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Philippines, India and Brazil.

What shipping a sale haul costs

Here's a typical Black Friday box — a couple of clothing deals and a small gadget, repacked together — priced live from our rate engine:

Live price · Oct 16, 2026

Shipping two clothing deals and a small gadget, repacked into one box to Australia: 5 lb on the scale, 16×12×8 in, billed at 12 lb.

FedEx International Priority

Swap in your own destination and box size on the shipping calculator. Two things move that number more than anything else. First, one consolidated box almost always costs less than several small ones, because each parcel carries its own base charge — the consolidation guide walks through why. Second, holiday packaging is mostly air. FedEx bills on dimensional weight whenever it's more than the scale reading, so we cut oversized retail boxes down before anything leaves Austin.

When to order if it's a Christmas present

The international flight isn't usually the slow part. The domestic leg is: the store packing your order during its busiest week, then a US carrier getting it to our hub while it's handling holiday volume too. That leg is out of everyone's hands, ours included.

So if it has to be under a tree overseas, buy on Black Friday itself rather than holding out for Cyber Monday, and choose FedEx International Priority over Economy if the timing is tight. Anything bought in December is a gamble for Christmas delivery to most destinations, and FedEx publishes its own holiday cut-offs each year — check them before you count on a date.

Check the category before you buy, too. Perfume, nail polish, aerosols and anything with a large lithium battery can be restricted on air freight, and some countries ban specific items outright. See prohibited items, or send us the link and ask.

Frequently asked questions

When is Black Friday 2026?

Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after US Thanksgiving. Cyber Monday is November 30. Many US stores start their sales earlier in the week, and some run them into early December.

Do US Black Friday deals ship internationally?

Some do, but plenty of US stores only ship to US addresses or reject cards issued outside the US. The usual workaround is to have the order delivered to a US address and shipped on from there. With Personal Shopping, we buy the item on a US card at the sale price and ship it to you by FedEx Express.

Will I pay import tax on Black Friday purchases?

It depends on the destination and the value of the box, not on whether the item was on sale. Customs looks at what you actually paid, so a sale price lowers the value, but a box of several deals can still go over your country's threshold. Check the rules for your country before you buy.
