Yes, and it's worth knowing before you buy. A Shipbird shipment goes by FedEx, not through a Remessa Conforme-certified store, so the US$50 exemption doesn't apply. Brazil charges a flat 60% federal import tax on the full customs value (item, freight and insurance) up to US$3,000, then state ICMS of 17% to 20% on top. The recipient pays on arrival. Declared value always matches what you actually paid.
