Buy from US Black Friday Sales and Ship to Brazil: The 2026 Guide
How to shop US Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals from Brazil: getting past card and CPF problems at checkout, what the 60% import tax plus ICMS does to a sale price, and when the discount is actually worth it.

To buy from US Black Friday sales and ship to Brazil, have the order delivered to a US address (our Austin hub), then send it on by FedEx Express with your CPF on the customs paperwork. Black Friday falls on November 27 this year and Cyber Monday on November 30. Before you buy anything, though, run the tax math: a FedEx shipment to Brazil pays a flat 60% federal import tax, then state ICMS on top.
Is a US Black Friday deal worth it after Brazilian tax?
Sometimes. Better to know which before the sale starts than after the box arrives.
The US$50 exemption you've probably read about only covers stores certified under Remessa Conforme. A parcel from a US hub via FedEx isn't one of those. It pays 60% on the full customs value — the item, the freight and the insurance — with no exemption and no deduction, on shipments up to US$3,000. Then your state adds ICMS of 17% to 20%. Because ICMS is calculated "por dentro," on a base that already includes itself, 17% on paper works out to about 20.5% in practice.
A quick way to see the scale: a $200 customs value carries $120 of federal import tax before ICMS is even added. So a US deal usually only wins when one of these is true:
- the item isn't sold in Brazil at all, or only through a reseller at a big markup
- the Brazilian price is far higher than the US sale price, not just a bit higher
- you need a US-only size, colour, model or edition
If the saving is modest, the tax will likely eat it.
Two ways in when the US checkout won't cooperate
US sale pages tend to throw two walls at Brazilian shoppers: a declined card, and a checkout with no place for a CPF. The way around them depends on where you are.
- You haven't bought it yet. Send us the product link. Personal Shopping checks out on a US card at the sale price, while the sale is live.
- You've already paid and shipped it to a US address. Package Forwarding receives it at your Shipbird address, checks it, repacks it and ships it to Brazil.
Both routes end at the same hub and leave on the same discounted FedEx Express service. The Brazil shipping guide explains why US fraud filters reject Brazilian cards in the first place.
Have your CPF ready before the sale
Brazilian customs expects the recipient's CPF on a courier declaration. If it's missing or wrong, the parcel can sit in a hold while it's sorted out, and late November is the worst time of year for that. Send it to us with your quote request and we'll put it on the customs paperwork.
Declare what you actually paid, sale price included. Don't list a purchase as a gift, and don't trim the value to shrink the tax. A mismatch is how a parcel ends up held in the busiest shipping weeks of the year.
What the full bill looks like
Add these up before you decide:
- the US sale price, plus any US sales tax the store charges
- the Personal Shopping fee, if we're buying for you
- FedEx freight from Austin
- 60% federal import tax on item, freight and insurance
- your state's ICMS on top of that
Our Personal Shopping fee is one flat charge per order, based on the order total. It's never per item and never a percentage: $15 up to $99.99, $25 from $100 to $250, $40 from $250.01 to $1,000, and $50 flat over $1,000. A $90 pair of running shoes pays $15. Exactly $250 of skincare still pays $25. A $600 laptop pays $40.

Cut the box down, and the tax falls with it
Here's what's different about Brazil: freight is part of the taxed customs value. Every dollar of shipping you avoid also saves you the 60% and the ICMS that would have been charged on it.
That makes two habits pay off twice. First, consolidate. Separate parcels each pay their own freight, so sending a week of deals to your Shipbird address and shipping them as one box usually costs less, as the consolidation guide shows. Second, lose the air. FedEx bills on dimensional weight (length × width × height ÷ 139, in inches) whenever it's more than the scale weight, and holiday gift boxes are mostly padding. We repack before anything leaves Austin.
Timing from Brazil
Brasília time doesn't shift for daylight saving, so in late November a sale that opens at midnight US Eastern goes live at 2am in São Paulo, and a midnight Pacific launch lands at 5am. Most doorbusters open while you're asleep. Send us the link the day before and we can buy the moment the price drops.
Buy early. Nobody can speed up the store-to-Austin leg during holiday volume, and Brazilian clearance can add days on top of FedEx transit. If something has to arrive before Christmas, don't wait for Cyber Monday.
Check the category first
Supplements, many cosmetics and some health products may need ANVISA approval, and electronics with larger batteries get extra attention. Check our prohibited items list, or send us the link and we'll look before we buy. If a store simply won't ship to Brazil, this list covers the usual suspects.
