Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. Name, email address, and phone number when you create an account or request a quote.
• WhatsApp messages. If you message our WhatsApp Business number, we keep your phone number, profile name and the text of your messages so we can reply with a price estimate. Messages are handled through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, and we never use them for advertising.
• Shipping information. Recipient name, destination address, and package or item details necessary to fulfill your order.
• Payment information. If you pay by card, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers. Stripe handles that directly and shares with us only what's needed to process and record your order (such as a payment confirmation and the last four digits of your card). If you pay by bank transfer, payments are made through Wise, a licensed payment institution. We retain the transfer reference and confirmation needed to record your order, not your bank's login or account credentials.
• Order and inspection data. Product links, purchase prices, weights, dimensions, and inspection photos taken at our Austin hub.
• Usage data. Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically when you use our website.

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and fulfill your Personal Shopping and Package Forwarding orders
• Purchase items on your behalf and arrange international shipping
• Communicate with you about your orders, quotes, and account
• Process payments and prevent fraud
• Comply with customs, export, and other legal requirements
• Improve our website and service based on how it's actually used

We also use analytics and advertising tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta Pixel and Conversions API) to understand how people find and use our website and to measure our ads. These tools may set cookies and receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and whether you requested a quote. We never send them your name, email, phone number, delivery address, or the items you ask us to buy. Microsoft Clarity records anonymized page interactions (clicks, scrolling) on our public pages to help us fix confusing screens; it does not run on account, quote, or admin pages and masks what you type. We also use Sentry to receive error reports from our servers, which contain technical details and no personal information we intentionally send.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Apart from the tools described above, we share information only with the service providers necessary to fulfill your order (for example, Stripe or Wise for payment processing (depending on how you choose to pay), FedEx for shipping, Resend for transactional email, and Supabase for account and order data storage) and only to the extent needed for them to perform that function.

We retain your account and order information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to resolve any disputes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us (see below), subject to records we're required to retain by law.

You can review and update your account information at any time from your Shipbird dashboard. You can ask us to correct, delete, or provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us directly.

To turn off advertising and analytics cookies from Meta, Google, and Microsoft, choose Decline on our cookie banner.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
